Deforestation-free exports advisory for Indonesia

Every plot behind your shipment mapped, checked against the 2020 forest map and assembled into a DDS dossier.

What traceability asks of each shipment

Two tests: no deforestation after 31 December 2020, and legal production under Indonesian law.

  • Plot geolocation

Polygons for plots over 4 hectares, a single point under 4.

  • Reference-map check

Satellite cross-check of every plot against 2020 forest cover.

  • Farmer records

Identity, national ID (KTP) and land tenure papers for each plot.

  • Risk assessment

Legality and deforestation screening per shipment, with extra files where needed.

  • DDS dossier

HS code, EORI number, origin and geolocation for TRACES NT.

  • Licensed partners

Field mapping, legal checks and certification where a licence is required.

Penalties can reach 4% of EU turnover plus confiscation. Your importer carries that, so importers audit suppliers before signing.

The documentation gap in numbers

Most Indonesian smallholder land still lacks verified EUDR records. Exporters with clean geolocation files win the contracts others lose.

18-22%
of independent smallholder hectares had verified geolocation (Q1 2026)
1%
of smallholders supplying forest-risk commodities certified to EU requirements
USD 80-150
per hectare to document a typical smallholder plot, per 2026 studies
