Can a consultant obtain a certificate of origin on my behalf?

Operationally, yes: we prepare the worksheet, draft the e-SKA application and follow it through IPSKA. Legally, the SKA is issued to your exporting entity, and your authorised signatory stays responsible.

Which certificate of origin do I need for the EU?

As of mid-2026 no Indonesia-EU free trade agreement is in force. Most shipments use Form B; GSP claims use a REX statement on origin. IEU-CEPA is expected to enter into force in 2027.

What documents will you ask for?

Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, PEB, NIB and evidence of where the goods were made. Preferential claims add a costing breakdown. Scans first.

Can I get a COO after the shipment has left Bali?

Often, yes. Most preferential schemes allow a certificate marked "Issued Retroactively", commonly within twelve months, though windows differ by agreement. Expect extra scrutiny and check limits with the issuing authority.

Does EUDR affect origin paperwork for EU shipments?

In practice, yes, for coffee, cocoa, rubber and palm-derived cargo. The DDS in TRACES NT carries the same HS code and origin data as your COO, so we align both in one pass.

Which COO form your shipment needs

The form follows the trade agreement. On the wrong one, goods still move but your buyer pays full tariff.

Form D

ASEAN (ATIGA). Preferential intra-ASEAN tariff, mostly zero.

Form E

China (ACFTA). Reduced ACFTA rates.

Form AK

Korea (AKFTA). Preferential Korean tariff.

Form IJEPA

Japan (IJEPA). EPA rates for qualifying goods. Australia uses the IA-CEPA COO.

REX

EU under GSP. A statement on origin, no paper certificate.

Form B

Any market, non-preferential. Proof of origin for customs, banks and LCs.

Nobody can guarantee issuance or acceptance at destination. Treat any promise of a "guaranteed COO" as a red flag.
